One off the bucket list. For a large bird this guy has been one of the most skittish birds I have seen in my back yard but I outlasted him and finally got a picture! The Blue Jay is one of the loudest and most colorful birds in the eastern United States. When I leave my window open and he lands in my bird habitat I can usually hear him from anywhere in the house. Blue Jays are intelligent, adaptable and can make a variety of sounds including a great imitation of the scream of a Red-shouldered Hawk.
My journey with photography started out as a hobby and grew into a passion and maybe even an obsession. I tend to gravitate toward themes involving cars, music and nature but photograph a wide variety of subjects because I think you can find beauty and inspiration in everything.
