Description
The Dan and Dianne May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is located on the campus of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. This center not only provided a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning experience but attempts to rehabilitate and release wildlife back into nature. Another goal is to educate the public regarding the value of wildlife in our ecosystem. The center also partners with Grandfather Mountain to provide educational and photography opportunities, and it where this photo of a Barred Owl was taken.
