Description
Georgia seems to be a major destination for the film industry. One location that still attracts visitors is Juliette, Georgia. the town was founded in 1882 with the coming of the East Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia railroad. Edward L. Williams, Sr. opened a general merchandise store there in 1927 and ran it for 45 years. It was staged as a cafe for the movie Fried Green Tomatoes and today it is known as The Whistle Stop Cafe. I had hoped to invite Mary Stuart Masterson or Mary Louise Parker in for a bite of lunch but no luck.
