Description
The salt and the sea had taken its toll on this tree on Cumberland Island, Georgia. Cumberland Island is Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier island. The maritime forest and undeveloped beaches give you a peek into the past. There is also the Dungeness Ruins which are the remains of a mansion built by Thomas Carnegie, the simple, one room First African Baptist Church and wildlife that includes loggerhead turtles and feral horses. A great destination!
