Description
Botany Bay Plantation is one of the most pristine, untouched destinations on Edisto Island, South Carolina. It was formed in the 1930s by the merger of two Colonial-era plantations (Sea Cloud and Bleak Hall) that were known for growing cotton and timber. Today it is a 4000-acre wildlife management area open to the public and contains several historical buildings, a maritime forest, beaches and fresh water ponds. Well known for its sunrises, shells and natural beauty, it is a great place to enjoy the day!
