About John Kirkland
My journey with photography started out as a hobby and grew into a passion and maybe even an obsession. I tend to gravitate toward themes involving cars, music and nature but photograph a wide variety of subjects because I think you can find beauty and inspiration in everything. Thanks so much for viewing my gallery. I hope you find my photographs as more than just captured light; my desire is, they inspire emotions, tell stories and create memories!

One of my other passions is history, particularly that of old rural churches. I believe they provide great insight to life as it was lived out in the 18th and 19th centuries, especially in the South. I volunteer for a non-profit group called Historic Rural Churches of Georgia as a way to share my love of old churches and document their history for future generations.
